SUBJECT: Hart Headlines

NOVEMBER 9th

November is a busy month! Can you believe we have made it to November? We are so excited for all things fall and holiday related. Be sure to join us for some yummy BBQ, our Winter Coat Drive, and rounding out our Lovejoy Letter Campaign!

In addition to these fun happenings, don't forget to join our ShopWithScrip program and send the staff some love through gift cards. We need your help! Our gift card drive will run through the end of this month. The goal is to gift each staff member with $20-$25 in gift cards to show our love and appreciation for all they do.

As always, thank you for your continued support,

Dani Miller

  • JOIN our ShopWithScrip program!! This will be a wonderful tool to have for the holiday season ahead. With enrollment, you will be able to purchase gift cards for our teachers, your family and friends, or for yourself. Every gift card offers a percentage back ranging from 1-22%. This money goes directly back to Hart PTO so we can continue to provide enrichment and connectivity for our community and all of our students. Details can be found below under Hospitality.

  • TODAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR ORDERS for Hart PTO Spirit Day with Lovejoy BBQ. PRE-ORDER food now! Orders open 11/1 through 11/9! QR Codes and details are below!

  • New! Recycle week and the annual Winter Coat Drive are around the corner. We will have boxes outside of the school during this time for cold weather donations benefiting the ACO. Details can be found below.

Just a friendly reminder that the 7th annual Lovejoy Letter Campaign for teachers and staff members is under way. A simple note or drawing to show appreciation for our Hart staff to let them know they make a difference and that we value them. LLC bins are located at each entrance for easy drop-off. Please remember to clearly label the envelope with LLC and the staff/teacher’s name. The deadline is Friday, November 13th. Thank you for all you do!

ArtSparks

A CELEBRATION of the visual arts focusing on elementary school students. An art appreciation program which exposes over 6000 Allen school children and adults to great works of art.

An EXPLORATION of what is seen with one’s eyes, as well as with one’s heart and intellect. Students use not only their eyes, but also their intellect and heart to put into words thoughts about what a work of art means on a personal level.

A COLLABORATION of city local sponsorship and citizen talent. ArtSparks is sponsored by the Allen Arts Alliance and staffed by dedicated community volunteers. Volunteers include parents, grandparents, retired educators, and local business leaders among others.

We are thrilled to announce that ArtSparks will be done virtually this year! They have been working hard on new presentations for us to use in the classrooms. Details are coming soon as we gather volunteers.

We LOVE our volunteers and appreciate any amount of time you are able to give. Below are the areas where we currently need help!

ArtSparks >

We would love to have parents take advantage of presenting to your child's class. There will be a total of four presentations for the school year. These will be done virtually. You will need to be comfortable with ZOOM and screen sharing. All of the material will be provided.
